April Lockhart, born in 1995 on the 4th day of July. She began lessons on piano and guitar at age seven. The passion for songwriting was awakened. The first song she wrote was called Different which she composed at the age of 12. When she was 14 April spent a lot of her day writing and practicing songs. In the following months, April started going across NY and LA together with her father to help them compose songs. April was the month that she began to write about other issues in the book, Take My Hand, for those of her peers who struggled in the face of peer pressure, disability or even suicide. Lockhart has her own fan base and is an online lifestyle blogger for the well-known Ilia clean beauty brand. Her disability is a part of her identity, but it's not the entire image.
